Doggie DaycareThe Doggie Spot's mission is to promote an active, socialized and healthy lifestyle for your dog by providing a happy, safe, and clean environment for your companion. By accomplishing this, your dog will become a calmer and healthier pet-which is good for both of you in an owner/pet relationship Our daycare offers cage-free, climate-controlled, monitored play. At our facility, each dog has continual interaction and personal attention from our caring staff. Dogs are generally separated by size and/or temperament and by playstyle into three daycare areas for safer dog-to-dog interaction. We offer outside play in our secured area for fresh air romping and potty breaks. Yummy treats, stimulating toys and games will be provided to entertain and to keep their minds sharp. We can't take your place, but we can provide the surrogate love, attention and activity that your dog craves during the day. With such a full day in store for your dog we understand the need for quiet time. Naps are from 12:00 to 2:00 every day. Lights are dimmed, rooms are cleaned, and relaxing music is turned on. Please respect this down time, no drop-offs/pick-ups are allowed without prior arrangements made. Daycare is available: Monday - Friday 7 am to 7 pm. Saturday 8 am to 6 pm. We are closed from 12 pm to 2 pm everyday. Daycare is provided during all home Gator Football Games. We open at 8 am for 12 pm and 3 pm games, and at noon for late games. Pick up is prefered within an hour of the offical end of the game, though we understand that traffic can cause delays.
Rules to Attend Daycare All paperwork must be completed (emailed, faxed, mailed, dropped off) and an Evalution time scheduled. During the evaluation we will review your paperwork, meet your dog and introduce him to a few of our dogs to help determine if daycare is the right environment for him. Evaluations generally take 15 - 20 minutes. The evaluation needs be completed before your dog can start attending day care or spending the night. Must be current on all vaccinations. Rabies, DHLPP and Bordatella mandatory. Dogs must be at least 16 weeks of age. All dogs must be spayed/neutered if over 5 months old. Any dog can be denied admittance during the evaluation process and any dog can be expelled from daycare for any behavior deemed inappropriate by The Doggie Spot management. We will work with your dog, helping them learn how to 'play nice'. Many dogs who don't do well around other dogs in their homes or near their families can play at The Doggie Spot without trouble because it is neutral territory. Let us give it a shot. Feel free to call anytime to check in on your dog. We will let you know how he or she is doing. Your dog will get plenty of exercise and socialize with other dogs. As a result, you will have a much happier and fit dog! Common reasons for dogs to be expelled from daycare: -Aggressive Behavior -Excessive mounting -Biting other dogs -Biting staff -Severe medical problems -Too nervous or fearful -If we feel it's not a good fit
